Hampton: Police Identify Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident

Pictures: Fatal motorcycle crash Related Daily Press 2:07 p.m. EDT, November 1, 2013 A 49-year-old Hampton man was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near the intersection of West Mercury Boulevard and Wickham Avenue, a police spokesman said. Police responded to the crash at about 6:15 a.m. and found Bruce E. Marshall in the road suffering from life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Jason Price, a spokesman with the Hampton Police Division. He died on the way to the hospital, Price said. A preliminary investigation revealed Marshall was traveling westbound on a 2003 Honda motorcycle when he lost control.

Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Elkridge The accident occurred around 3:30 Saturday morning. The motorcyclist has been identified as 42-year-old David Spriggs of Owings, in Calvert County. Police believe Spriggs lost control as he tried to take the exit and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. Copyright Associated Press

Motorcycle crash near FSCJ sends one to hospital

The crash occurred in the 10600 block of North Campus Boulevard near the Florida State College of Jacksonville North Campus when a motorcycle hit a Dodge Charger around 9 a.m. The motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Campus Boulevard as the Dodge Charger was exiting the east parking lot of Florida State College, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The 82-year-old female driver of the Dodge Charger failed to see the motorcycle approaching and pulled into the motorcycle's path, JSO detailed. The 39-year-old motorcycle driver was ejected in the crash. The driver of the Charger and her 13-year-old passenger were not injured in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries. An investigation is underway and charges could be pending against the 82-year-old driver. The crash is under investigation and there is no indication of alcohol and drug involvement in the crash.
