Motorcycle Crash In Rockbridge Co. Sends Four To The Hospital

Man arrested in fatal SE Charlotte motorcycle crash

on Route 11 northbound at the exit 180 interchange in Rockbridge County. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide motorcycle was traveling northbound on Route 11 when the operator was approaching a highway work zone. The driverhad to slow down suddenly when he didn't observe a flagman stopping traffic at that location and was then rear ended by a 2012 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle that was rear ended was Wayne A. Brown, age 65, of Roanoke, VA. he was transported to Carilion Stonewall Jackson hospital in Lexington.

at North Sharon Amity and Castleton Road. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say Paul Stephenson, 51, was traveling south on North Sharon Amity Road in the right-hand lane, when a Lincoln Town Car driven by Kanyon Carter, 39, made a left-hand turn in front of Stephenson's motorcycle. Stephenson applied the brakes and laid the motorcycle down on its right side, sliding on the pavement into the side of the Lincoln, striking the front passenger door, police say. MEDIC responded to the crash and pronounced Stephenson on the scene. Authorities say he was wearing a full-faced helmet. Carter was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and driving while license revoked. His bond was set at $7500.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Grants Pass Has Lane County Connection

The motorcycles operator was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was wearing a protective helmet. It is not known why his vehicle crossed the centerline.
