Norton Shores Man Dies In Saturday Motorcycle Crash

Couple overcomes life-changing motorcycle crash

on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 to the intersection of McGraft Park Road and Glen Avenue, according to information authorized by Public Safety Director Jeffrey Lewis. Officers found Orlando Vela, 49, of Norton Shores suffering from critical injuries because of the crash, police said. Vela was riding the motorcycle without a helmet. He was pronounced dead at Hackley Hospital, police said. The driver of the automobile was Bernice Patricio, 36, of Mount Pleasant.

Airlift required after motorcycle crash

A young woman was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital last night after a cliff fall in the South West. Source: PerthNow THE RAC Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man and a woman to hospital after a motorcycle crash north of Perth. The rescue chopper was sent to the crash just after 11am with reports of a motorcyclist injured near Crest Hill Road in Mooliabeenee, near Gingin. The two-seat motorcycle was carrying a rider and a passenger when it collided with a kangaroo. The pair have been taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment but police say their injuries are not life-threatening.
