Motorcycle accident claims the life of a Theodore man

Apparently, unable to brake in time, the driver of the suv hits him, breaking his leg. Within seconds, the entire motorcycle gang grinds to a halt. Then, a critical moment not caught on camera. Police say at least one of the bikers slashed the suv's tires. That's when things get really ugly. Look again. The suv takes off, mowing down some of the bikers. Police say the driver, a 33-year-old banker in the car with his wife and young child, feared for their lives.

UPDATE: Motorcycle passenger identified in Salem accident

Steven J. Young, of Salt Lake City, was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in extremely critical condition after the accident and died later Monday night, police said. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman, was not injured. According to witnesses, the light turned red and both vehicles entered the intersection at 3900 South and 900 East . The motorcyclist was westbound on 3900 South when an eastbound car made a left turn and hit the motorcycle at 3:58 p.m., said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. The accident remains under investigation, Hoyal said.

Route 90, also known as Government Boulevard. Christopher Smith was pronounced dead on the scene near Government Boulevard and Coca Cola Road on Saturday, said Ashley Rains, public information officer for the Mobile Police Department . Officers responded to the accident around 5:35 p.m. Investigators determined Smith was riding a motorcycle east on Government Boulevard "at a high rate of speed," Rains said. A pickup truck carrying two passengers made a left turn from the westbound lanes of Government Boulevard when Smith's motorcycle struck the truck, Rains said. Smith was thrown from the motorcycle. The passengers in the pickup truck were transported to hospitals, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Rains said. Police are still investigating the crash.

Man killed in Millcreek motorcycle crash
