CBC 14 hours ago A motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon on Nova Scotia Highway 101 near Windsor has claimed the life of a 56-year-old man. Around 4 p.m. Windsor RCMP responded to the call on Highway 101 near Exit 6. RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said it appears that the man riding the motorcycle crossed the centre line and crashed into a guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene The crash closed the eastbound lane of Highway 101 near Windsor for approximately two hours.

The accident happened at about 9:35 p.m. on Dubuque Road east of South Canfield Road. According to the Black Hawk County Sheriffs Office, Cornwells truck, heading westbound on Dubuque Road, crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle. Emergency crews found both Martie and his passenger, Katlyn Leekley, 20, of Jesup, in the north ditch. One of the victims was first taken by ambulance to Covenant Medical Center and the other was airlifted to Iowa City Hospitals and Clinics.
