Motorcycle accident blocked US 301 in Sarasota

According to officers on scene, the crash happened between 6 and 6:30 a.m. and a short time later, a Bayflight helicopter landed near the intersection. Officers told us, John Hart, 57, of Milford Circle, Sarasota, was driving a motorcycle going north on US 301. He hit a sedan that was turning left into a gas station parking lot near the intersection.  Paramedics took Hart to Blake Medical Center via Bayflight. The sedan driver Nicholas Morales, 30, of Taro Place, Sarasota County, didn't suffer any injuries. Officers opened the northbound lanes in about two hours after the crash.

UPDATE: Family Remembers Loved One Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Before 9:30 p.m., police say Rockford resident Bradley Carlson was turning west from Perryville Road onto Weaver Road in a mini-van when it hit a motorcycle traveling southbound on Perryville Road. Machesney Park resident George Foster, also known as Jason Foster, was taken to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead there. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- First responders are on the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident. It happened shortly after 9pm Thursday at Perryville and Weaver Roads near RBI's bar.

Motorcycle Vs. SUV Accident

Official said around 7:15 a.m., Conroe police were called to accident on Interstate 45 at Gladstell involving a Ford F-350 truck and a Honda trike motorcycle. According to witnesses at the scene, Conroe police said the driver of the pickup truck had either stopped or slowed significantly due to heavy traffic related to an earlier accident. The driver of the motorcycle not able to stop and slammed into the back of the truck.  Quick Clicks Body of fallen Pasadena soldier returns home Police said the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were both tossed from the trike. Officials said passenger, 62-year-old Sue Powell, died as a result of her injuries. The driver, 61-year-old Marion Powell, was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center in critical condition.  The Powells were on their way to Ellington Field to help escort the body of a soldier back to Pasadena as part of the Patriot Guard. Patriot Guard member killed in motorcycle crash on I-45

SUV Accident One person went to the hospital Thursday night after a motorcycle struck an SUV from behind in East Brainerd at the scene of an earlier wreck. Both wrecks happened in the 3900 block of Woodland Drive. Hamilton County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Janice Atkinson says, deputies were on location investigating a traffic crash and had traffic stopped in both directions. A GMC Yukon containing two occupants was stopped in the southbound travel lane when a black Triumph motorcycle approached from the rear. The motorcycle did not stop and struck the rear of the Yukon. The motorcycle rider suffered an incapacitating injury and was transported by air ambulance to Erlanger Hospital where he is currently being treated. The two occupants in the Yukon were uninjured.
