1 dead in motorcycle crash

Medics were called to Old Lincoln Highway near School Hill Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. According to an eyewitness, three motorcycles were heading south on the two-lane highway when they collided with another motorcycle carrying two people traveling north. A man riding the motorcycle traveling north was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office said he was traveling at a high rate of speed. The witness told KETV the people riding the three southbound motorcycles are related. A husband and wife were on separate bikes, and the third bike had two people riding on it. At least two people were taken to a hospital with injuries.

Man reported missing killed in motorcycle wreck Star-Exponent staff The Daily Progress A Culpeper man who had been reported missing was killed Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident. According to the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office John Childrey Jr., 42, was killed after his 2009 Yamaha sport motorcycle left the roadway on Monumental Mills Road and came to rest along a wood line and a field. Childrey, who had been reported missing prior to the accident by his family, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Family members reported Childrey missing after he did not return home from an evening motorcycle ride on Monday evening. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by CCSO Sgt. Craig Frazier.

Motorcycle operator dies after June 8 crash

No image available A 44-year-old man is in critical condition at a Hamilton hospital after his motorcycle struck a car in Niagara Falls Tuesday night. Emergency crews were called to Lundys Lane at Beechwood Road around 6:15 p.m. Police say a 20-year-old Thorold man was driving a 1999 Honda Civic westbound on Lundys Lane and had slowed to a stop in order to make a left turn onto Beechwood Road. At the same time, the injured man from Niagara Falls was driving his 2004 Suzuki 750 motorcycle westbound on Lundy's behind the Honda. Police say the driver on the motorcycle failed to stop and rear ended the Honda. The man was thrown from the bike and the force of the impact pushed the Honda into the intersection.

Man reported missing killed in motorcycle wreck

Officers say 56-year-old John Harvey Stratton of Parkville and a passenger were riding a motorcycle on June 8 near Magnolia Lane in Annapolis. Police say Stratton lost control of the motorcycle on a curve, traveled on a grass median and struck a tree. Stratton and the unidentified passenger were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The passenger was released. Officers say Stratton died on June 29. Police say Stratton was not wearing an approved motorcycle helmet.
