Victim of fatal motorcycle crash on Leroy Avenue identified

The accident happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the school parking lot located in the 1500 block of West Exchange Street, according to the Will County coroner's office. Patrick J. Boylen, 19, and Kelsey J. McGill, 18, both of Crete, were pronounced dead on the scene at 10:56 p.m., officials said. An autopsy today revealed Boylen died of head trauma caused by a motorcycle mishap. A preliminary exam of McGill showed injuries due to an accident, but her cause of death was pending a complete autopsy exam.

Crete Monee High School (Google Maps / July 6, 2013) Maps By Deanese Williams-Harris Tribune reporter 11:43 a.m. CDT, July 6, 2013 A Calumet City man was pronounced dead early Saturday morning after a motorcycle accident near Washington Park on the city's South Side. According to preliminary reports, the 42-year-old man's motorcycle hit a curb on the 5300 block of South Payne Drive shortly after midnight, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli. The victim was thrown into the grass of Washington Park where he struck a tree, and shortly after was taken to the University of Chicago Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead, Mirabelli said, citing preliminary reports. The victim's identity has not been released pending family notification, but officials did say he was from south suburban Calumet City.
