Army couple aids victim of motorcycle accident

Motorcycle vs minivan crash in Mentor sends two to hospital

At 9:42 p.m., Mentor Police and Fire departments responded to the area of 8500 Mentor Ave. for a reported traffic crash, said Mentor Police Sgt. Ken Willis in a news release. Through a preliminary investigation, officers learned a motorcycle with two people was driving eastbound in the right land of Mentor Avenue. It hit the back of a minivan that was stopped in traffic, Willis said. The two people on the motorcycle, who have not yet been identified, were ejected from the vehicle. They were transported by Mentor Fire to Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby and then flown by medical helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

CHP investigating fatal motorcycle accident in San Luis Obispo County

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Officials say a motorcycle and a car collided on State Route 227. People living in a nearby home heard the accident and ran out to help. KSBY'S Dan Shadwell came across the accident and was able to speak with officials. "The motorcycle was fully engulfed in flames soon after the collision and the driver succumbed to his injuries almost immediately after the collision or during the collision," said Danny Koetsier a California Highway Patrol Officer. Officials say the motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle during the collision.
