By Rosemary Regina Sobol Tribune reporter 2:12 a.m. CDT, August 27, 2013 A motorcyclist who died on the scene this morning after crashing on the Edens Expressway on the city's Northwest Side has been identified, authorities said. The victim, 29-year-old Willie Carrington, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Carrington lived in the 0-100 block of Harlem Avenue in north suburban Glenview, according to the medical examiner's office. The wreck happened at 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Foster Avenue, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper.

Man injured in motorcycle crash
Police said the driver crashed in front of the Confederation Building between Market Avenue and Bannatyne Avenue on Main Street. The bike hit the median and the driver's head hit a street planter. He was wearing a helmet. Witnesses told police the driver was speeding and police confirm they are looking into the possibilty speed was a factor.
